What this service covers
On a Design & Build project the client typically does not appoint a contract administrator — the contractor holds design responsibility. The role that protects the client's position is the Employer's Agent, and it is a distinct and demanding appointment.
As Employer's Agent under JCT DB 2016 we administer the contract on behalf of the employer — certifying payments, agreeing changes, assessing extensions of time, holding the contractor to the Employer's Requirements, and driving quality through the Contractor's Proposals. Our EA files carry documented evidence of every decision, and our valuations are grounded in measurement rather than optimism.
We act as Employer's Agent for developers, housing associations and private clients across West Sussex, from smaller residential D&B schemes in Worthing and Littlehampton through to larger commercial and mixed-use projects in Crawley, Horsham and Chichester.
